The latest running of the annual competition between Golf vs Tennis members resulted in a win for the golf section on Saturday.

This competition was started by Muriel and Colin Loveridge back in 1998 to bring the golf and tennis sections of Forrester Park together.

With the competition starting off with nine holes on the golf course at midday, the tennis players only managed to pick up four of the available 14 points and that meant, with just 12 points available on the tennis courts, a strong result was needed by the tennis team.

Despite winning three of the first four games, by the end of a very enjoyable afternoon the best they could do was to win the tennis 7-5 and that made the final overall score 15-11 to the Golfers.
