TWO people have been charged with multiple shoplifting and assault offences in Chelmsford.
A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of several thefts from shops including Tesco, Aldi and The Range, as well as the alleged assault of members of staff, criminal damage and public order offences.
All the offences are alleged to take place in March.
Jason Horne, 38, of Tydemans in Chelmsford has now been charged with four counts of theft from a shop, three counts of assault by beating, criminal damage and a public order offence.
Nadine Woodyard, 43, who is also of Tydemans in Chelmsford, was charged with three counts of theft from a shop and two counts of assault by beating.
Both appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April 9.
They have been remanded in custody ahead of appearing at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 15.
