A GREAT Totham body builder is close to confirming her place on a brand new reality tv show.

Jenna Thompson, of Totham Hill Green, Great Totham, is hoping to be chosen to star in new show, the Perfect World Project.

The show is a social experiment which aims to find out whether people can be eternally happy if they are given everything they want, every day.

It is that question that attracted Jenna to the show: “I first saw the advert online nearly a year ago and it was basically advertising for people to be involved in a social experiment.

“I am quite into psychology and that sort of stuff, and I found the question very thought provoking.

“If you had everything you wanted every day, would you be eternally happy? This is what it is all about.”

Ten finalists will make it onto the show where they will compete in a series of challenges to get the chance to live the life of their dreams.

For Jenna, that life is different than you might expect.

“The reason I want to do it is I think that long lasting happiness comes more from starting projects and funding other causes, rather than materialistic things,” she said.

“Materialistic things lose their buzz after a while. You have that new car, but after a certain amount of time it is no longer exciting.

“So that is what I want to do, we would use the money to fund projects right across the world.”

To get the chance to do that though, Jenna will have to battle it out against 49 other contestants to get enough votes to make it onto the show.

She has made it down to the final 50 out of 5,065 applicants, and now needs support from the public to reach the next stage of the competition.

She said: “I have to do a public campaign to get enough votes to go through to the next round.

“They want us to work for it, to see how badly we want it. The show is going to be challenge based so they want people who are really going to fight for it.

“The top 20 out of the remaining 50 will go on to have an in depth interview with the producers.”
