A TIPTREE garden centre has sent a hanging basket to the annual Chelsea Flower Show.

The basket, from Perrywood Garden Centre and Nurseries, will be on display in the Sun Flower Square.

The display is being championed by The Sun’s Gardening Editor Peter Seabrook in association with the Horticultural Trades Association and the Garden Centre Association.

Members of the nursery team at Perrywood had been challenged by owner Alan Bourne to create a hanging basket ‘fit for a Queen’ to celebrate her majesty the Queen’s 90th Birthday.

The team created an amazing display using an upside down obelisk to represent a bee’s nest and had to make sure the plants were flowering at the right time for the show.

Flowers included Bidens ferulifolia, Calibrachoa and Fuchsia Genii.
