A MUM will plummet nearly 300ft when she completes a bungee jump to raise money for a hospice which helped her friend.

Former Plume School pupil Jenny Sjollema, 42, will be jumping from a crane over the Bank Holiday weekend to raise money for Farleigh Hospice as part of its £50 challenge.

Fundraisers get a £50 note to raise as much money as possible.

Last year Jenny, of Spinnaker Drive, in Heybridge, collected more than £1,000 after taking part in a skydive.

She was inspired to take on the challenges after Farleigh Hospice looked after her late friend Stella Bradbrook, who died last year aged 69 after battling bowel and liver cancer.

Jenny, who owns business PA Angels, said: “Last year I raised over £1,000 and won the most daring award at the Farleigh Hospice presentation. I thought what am I going to do this time?

I had done the skydive and always fancied doing a bungee jump and it is always great to do it for a good cause.”

Jenny will complete her jump in Windsor has had to hire a 300ft high crane for the day.

Her son and husband will be there on the day to cheer her on.

She added: “Normally the hospice asks new business to take part but because I had done quite a lot last year they invited me come back again.

“They are a fantastic cause and I know so many people that have been helped.”
