A MUM has slammed a bus company after her children were left stranded at a bus stop.

Jacqueline Hague-Holmes, of Southminster, has hit out at First Essex, claiming its 7.41am 31X service is not on time and leaves her children, who attend Plume School in Maldon, turning up late for class.

Her kids, who are in Year Eight and Year 11, have even been left waiting for a bus for an hour and had to rely on their grandparents for a lift.

A spokesman for First “apologised for any inconvenience caused”, but said it was the first complaint staff had received.

The spokesman added: “We will monitor the service over the next couple of weeks to ensure the service is running to the scheduled timetable.”
