Jessie Raycroft watched the site grow during the war
When Second World War planes fly over Bradwell next month to mark the anniversary of the aerodrome's closure, Jessie Raycroft has no doubt it will bring a tear to her eye.
As a teenager Jessie, now 89, watched RAF Bradwell Bay rise from the ground before later meeting and marrying Jack Raycroft, a member of the Essex Regiment.
