Judges visited Granger Avenue on Friday to look at the streets displays based on sport
Residents worked hard to show Maldon in the best possible light to visiting judges.
Chair of Anglia in Bloom’s judging panel George Dawson, along with judge Chris Durrant visited the town on Friday.
The competition, designed to show off a town’s environmental and floral assets, saw judges touring Promenade Park and the town allotments, as well as Plume School and Granger Avenue, Maldon.
Environment officer for Maldon Town Council Jennifer Eva said she was hopeful Maldon was in with a chance.
She said: “It went really well, the judges got to see a lot of Maldon in the short time they were here."
