A fossil hunt was halted after a suspected World War Two bomb was found on the beach.
A group of 15 children and eight adults were just 25 minutes into their search in Creeksea when a woman came across the bomb at about 11.25am today.
As a precaution, Jennifer Donnelly, who had been leading the hunt, called the police who then alerted the Ministry of Defence.
The group were then asked to clear the beach while the device was dealt with.
