A school has banned “skinny” trousers and warned parents their child will be sent home if not adhering to uniform rules.
The strict new approach will be introduced at Plume School in the September term when new headteacher Carl Wakefield takes up his position.
The school’s vice principle Nigel Brunt issued a letter to parents on the tougher uniform guidelines.
The parent or carer of any pupil not arriving in the correct uniform on September 7 will be contacted and informed that the garment in question will need to be changed by the following day.
Should the pupil break the rules again, a further call will be made and the pupil will need to be collected or go home “and the issue rectified as soon as possible”.
