A woman was left injured after a postman crashed into a village shop.
Shelving fell onto a shop assistant at The English Dairy store in St Lawrence after a Royal Mail van crashed into the wall.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called at 6.07pm to Main Road where a vehicle had driven into a property.
“When the vehicle hit the property, a shelf knocked into a patient.
“An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle attended a woman.
“She was taken to Broomfield Hospital for further care.”
It is understood that the shop assistant suffered whiplash and has since returned to work following last Wednesday's crash.
Royal Mail spokesman Sally Hopkins said: “We are now investigating this incident."
