MP John Whittingdale meets Essex County Council's 'Superfast Broadband' team
More ‘superfast’ broadband plans are in the pipeline.
Essex County Council's Superfast Broadband team has already secured fast internet for around 3,934 Maldon homes and businesses during the first stage - named ‘Phase 1’- of its rollout.
But by the end of summer 2016, 21,991 premises in the Maldon district will have access.
The announcement came today, shortly after Maldon MP and Culture Secretary John Whittingdale met the team on Friday to mark the success of the Superfast Essex initiative.
