A suspected drink driver collided with a parked car, pushing it 50 metres down the road.
Sara Burrell, of Fambridge Road, Maldon, described how she ran outside after hearing "the most almighty bang".
She said: "Opening my door I saw a car, which had been shunted down the road.
"There was glass and plastic everywhere."
