A woman's death is not being treated as suspicious by police.
Police were called to an address in Hunt Avenue, Heybridge, just after 8pm on Monday following reports that a woman had been found dead inside a property.
The woman was in her seventies and had been found by a relative, who then raised the alarm.
At first, Essex Police was treating the death as 'unexplained'.
Today an Essex Police spokesman said: "The post mortem has taken place and the woman's death isn't being treated as suspicious.
"We have prepared a file for the coroner."
