A cricket club is desperately appealing for more female players.
Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club currently runs a variety of teams, both during the summer and the winter, for men and women of all ages.
The club has two Saturday league sides, a Sunday side, a ladies' side and a midweek Twenty 20 side.
It also enters both men's and women's teams into indoor leagues held at the County Ground, Chelmsford and in Braintree.
Club secretary Mark Beams said: “After eight hugely successful seasons of ladies cricket at Woodham Mortimer, we suddenly find ourselves desperately short of players.
“With the core of the team reaching working age we are faced with the problem of players not being able to make it back from work in time."
