Teachers joined forces to share their skills and expertise at a special training session.
Burnham Primary School headteacher Nicky Patrick and members of her staff joined teachers at Maylandsea Primary School, in Katonia Avenue, for the joint “Perfect Teacher” training day as part of a new initiative which sees the schools working together for the good of their pupils.
Nick Rudman, headteacher of Maylandsea Primary, said: “The idea is that schools are stronger if they work together and support and help each other rather than being in competition through league tables and so on.
“Between the two schools the teachers have many years of classroom experience and Mrs Patrick and I both firmly believe that schools are more effective when they cooperate closely together."
