A teenager has been heralded as inspirational after she raised more than £10,000 for charity in memory of her brother.
Rebecca Houlding is one of 17 youngsters nationwide to be recognised by the Diana Awards, established in memory of Prince Diana.
The youngsters are all praised for making a difference to their community.
Rebecca, 18, of Mell Road, Tollesbury, was chosen as a Diana Champion Fundraiser after raising £11,300.
Rebecca decided to raise money for Ronald McDonald House because her parents, Clive, 51, and
Sarah, 47, stayed there when her brother Jack was born in 1994.
He had a heart condition, an aortic stenosis, in which there is a narrowing of the aortic valve in the heart. Jack died aged just five weeks old.
Rebecca began fundraising on October 19, 2012, on what would have been Jack’s 18th birthday.
