Coastguards went to the aid of a small boat struggling on the River Blackwater.
The boat, which had two people aboard, was in difficulties with the tide and wind at the entrance to Bradwell Marina.
Thames Coastguard were made aware of their difficulties at 5.18pm yesterday afternoon.
The West Mersea RNLI inshore Lifeboat launched to assist them into the marina.
