A daughter has leapt to the defence of her mother’s care home after a watchdog’s critical reports.
Retired teacher Chris Davis believes the Care Quality Commission’s most recently published reports do not paint a true picture of Brewster House in Oak Road, Heybridge.
The CQC took enforcement action against the home in the form of a warning notice after it inspected staffing levels.
In relation to the home’s standard of “respecting and involving people who use the services”, the CQC highlighted that action was needed.
But Mrs Davis is more than happy with the care her 80-year-old mum Joyce Parsonson is receiving after living in the home for six years.
Mrs Davis, of Catchpole Lane, Great Totham, said: “The staff there are completely and utterly fantastic with the residents.
“They really do care and they know my mum so well.”
A further inspection is understood to have been carried out at the home last week.
The CQC is yet to publish its latest findings.
