A new market that was greeted with uncertainty when it first arrived is now thriving.
Burnham market began a three month trial period on July 1.
It visits Burnham High Street on Tuesdays, from 8am to 2.30pm.
There were fears the market would cause chaos for traffic and would compete with shops on the High Street, but town residents seem to view the market favourably.
Market organiser, Joe Villar, 39, of Parkway, Chelmsford, said: “It’s going really well, it’s very steady with visitors.
“It’s been a very successful market, especially the fresh produce stalls, more so than others I have known.
“It’s a credit to the people of Burnham, who have given it lots of support."
