A taxi driver has been victorious in ending a phone contract after complaining about poor signal in Maldon.
Mitch Hill claims he spoke at length with Vodafone before customer service advisors agreed that the early cancellation fees would be waived and he could end his contract due to a lack of signal in Maldon.
Mr Hill claims during his conversation with the advisor, he was also informed that signal was “unlikely to be renewed in the next 30 days”.
A Vodafone spokesman said: “We have had to close down one of our local masts as the landowner required the land for redevelopment.
“To remedy this our engineers have been designing improvements to a nearby site to replicate the service."
